His power affords him flight and durability – a classic "Alexandria package" – and an additional effect that draws people's attention and dazzles them with light. He struggles to manage his team, especially when they all know each other much better than they do him. Rhys is new to the organized nature of the Protectorate. People who reach too far into the silhouette find some very strange things happening. Their power is confusing even to them, but as far as Kestrel understands, they can take the form of a blacklight-colored blob of a person. Kestrel's also intelligent, enough that they were able to skip a grade and start college at 17. Kestrel is quiet but quick-witted, although their anxiety gets the better of them sometimes.
Roxy doesn't like her power very much and tries to tamp it down as much as possible, but it shares her rebellious spirit and flares up when she loses focus. As her name suggests, she can violently disassemble various objects near her. Roxy is a hotheaded sixteen-year-old who doesn't put up with much. Her own senses are temporarily diminished while the other party receives a proportional boost. Her powers let her reverse-vampire her senses (i.e. Imogen is an excitable little 13-year-old with a love for capes and cartoons (and the collision of those interests).
